Mission Statement
Nashville Channel Cat's mission is to transform the youth water polo experience for players who are separated from American water polo epicenters, such as Southern California or South Florida. We aim to achieve this by increasing the volume of competition in Tennessee and the greater Southeast zone, offering access to opportunities for players worldwide to travel and train with our Professional teams, and providing open-source education for coaches and players looking to take their game to the next level.
LAKE POLO
At Channel Cats we are all about pushing the culture forward and transforming water polo from a niche sport to an activity to be enjoyed by all. There are roughly 125,000 lakes in the continental US. Having safe and swimmable open water sources has proven to not only be a game changer for our club, but for anyone in regions with limited pool access looking to increase their volume of play.
This past summer we began scrimmaging at Anderson Beach on Percy Priest Lake just east of Nashville. It’s become a great weekend experience for players and their families, and a way for us to expand our practice schedule. We see it as an avenue to inspire an entire generation of beachgoers and their children to start enjoying water polo just as we enjoy activities like beach volleyball, soccer, or football.
